Colophon

How this site is made — the type, the stack, and the hands (human and otherwise) behind it.

  • Type

Clash Display and Switzer, both by the Indian Type Foundry via Fontshare — self-hosted as variable fonts so nothing render-blocks and nobody else gets pinged when you visit.

  • Stack

Next.js and Tailwind CSS, deployed on Vercel. Every page is static — there's no database, no CMS, just a content file and a git history.

  • The field

The dot field and grain behind everything is drawn in code — a quiet nod to the paddocks this site is written from. It steps aside if your system asks for reduced motion.

  • Pictures & film

Photography is mine unless credited otherwise — Dane Scott shot the Lily Flashman Racing work. Film is served from Vimeo.

  • AI in the loop

This site was designed and built in conversation with AI agents — the same workshop I use for client work. Every word and decision passed through human hands. That's the whole method: the tools are only as good as the clarity you bring them.

  • The engine

Behind the pages sits a project registry — every build, its relationships, and a dated log of what shipped. When work lands anywhere, an agent reads my project memory, proposes registry updates, and I approve them. The now page is a view over that registry: it writes itself.

  • Privacy

Anonymous, cookieless page counts via Vercel Analytics — enough to know if anyone's reading, nothing that follows you around.
